Adobe Creative Campus status means all students (and staff) have full premium access to Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Express, digital tools that promote more effective communication and learning, and which impart skills valued by employers.

Dr Erica Bellamy, Director of Digital Health & Social Care, said: "We’ve provided every student with access to Adobe Express Pro. This not only enhances their learning experience but also encourages them to creatively express their unique perspectives, sharpen their critical analysis, and prepare for rewarding careers. This commitment to providing critically creative experiences ensures our students graduate with the confidence to stand out, make an impact, and excel in their future professions.

"Our goal is to inspire students to develop creative thinking, collaborate digitally, and approach problem solving with confidence, skills that are crucial for future professional success. These skills not only enhance the learning experience but also help our graduates stand out to future employers."

Vice-Chancellor Professor Shirley Congdon added: "This is about realising the potential of our students, unleashing their creativity and enabling them to realise their dreams and ambitions. These skills are valued by employers, so we are investing in our workforce and enabling our students and graduates to gain good jobs."

Creative approach

Adobe Express now incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help with everything from posters and infographics to videos and presentations. The University’s status as an Adobe Creative Campus is designed to benefit all students whether they are studying coding and animation or pharmacy and archaeology.

Adobe Creative Campus status has a number of advantages for students:

Equitable Access: Providing all students with premium access to Adobe Express promotes inclusivity.

Skill Development: Students gain vital digital skills, such as storytelling, design, and the responsible use of AI, which are crucial for 21st-century careers.

Creative Opportunities: Access to professional-grade tools and templates empowers students to produce impactful academic and extracurricular projects.

Career Readiness: Certification and recognition programmes. For example, Adobe-certified badges and Digital Edge Awards equip students with credentials to stand out in competitive job markets.

Community Engagement: Initiatives like the Adobe Student Ambassador Programme foster active student involvement and peer learning.
