About our community

As a Psychology department, we are small enough to know our students and support them according to their particular needs; but we are big enough to have the critical mass that is necessary to excel in research. Our research agenda is important as we are equipped to offer teaching that is informed by research and in several areas, our academic staff stand among the world’s research leaders in their field of specialism.

Both our teaching and our research connects us with the community, where we are determined to make a real difference to people’s lives. We support our academic staff and our students to reach their potential by providing excellent facilities, ideal space and a very collegial environment. We reach out to stakeholders in the community to ensure that are efforts meet the needs that society demands.
