Biography

Dr Giray Gozgor is an Associate Professor of Economics/Finance and Head of the Wealth, Inclusive Societies and Ethics (WISE) Research Cluster at the School of Management, University of Bradford. He is a Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA) and a Research Affiliate of the CESifo Network at the University of Munich (LMU). He was promoted to Professor (Chair) at Istanbul Medeniyet University in 2020. He has also been a visiting scholar at Ghent University and the University of California, Irvine.

Dr Gozgor has been listed among Clarivate's Highly Cited Researchers in 2023 and in the IDEAS/RePEc Economist Rankings (Top 1% Authors & 200 Young Economists). He has also appeared in Stanford University World's Top 2% Scientists Ranking in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and the 2024 ranking makes him among the top 0.001% of Scientists in the World.

He is an Associate Editor of several CABS 3 journals, including the European Journal of Finance, the International Journal of Finance & Economics, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change.

Dr Gozgor has published over 160 papers in Web of Science (SSCI and SCIE) indexed journals, including CABS 4 and 3 journals such as Annals of Tourism Research, Energy Economics, Journal of Human Capital, Journal of Travel Research, and Public Choice. Dr Gozgor has been involved in projects for several national science foundations, including those in China, Kazakhstan, Turkiye and the United Kingdom.

Dr Gozgor's research interests encompass applied econometrics, climate change economics, financial economics, international economics, macroeconomics, and international political economy.
