Our facilities

Our pharmacology laboratories have state-of-the-art simulation software and computers. We also have a well-equipped Clinical Skills Suite; our own community pharmacy; hospital ward; and a number of seminar rooms.

Where Pharmacy can take you

Our unique 5-year MPharm programme has been running for over 45 years and enables you to undertake your Foundation training as part of the programme.

This means you will leave us as a qualified pharmacist pending successful completion of the GPhC registration exam. We also offer a 4-year programme, where you will need to complete a 1-year Foundation training period after graduation.

Most of our graduates progress into roles in hospital and community pharmacy, although there are many other career paths within the sector. These include:

  • Industrial pharmacy 
  • Academia/clinical academia
  • Military pharmacy 
  • Regulatory affairs
  • Working in GP practices/care homes
  • Urgent and emergency care
  • Veterinary pharmacy
