To develop the practice of midwives providing enhanced maternal care through the development of knowledge of underlying pathophysiology, support of physical and psychosocial wellbeing and achieving competence in enhanced clinical skills. Students will evaluate and critically appraise evidence-based interventions, research and policy which influence care, exploring innovative solutions to barriers to deliver best practice.
